Site Design

find a Hero.com is designed as a dynamic web site that automatically updates itself as new information is added to an underlying database.   Each page is linked to the database.  The database is populated by a team of volunteer "Virtual Editors."   Any responsible individual can become a "Virtual Editor" simply by registering and obtaining a Password to login into the database.

A small volunteer "Editorial Advisory Board" reviews the information submitted by the Virtual Editors before publishing it to the web site.

Although the web site is designed for minimal maintenance, there is a downside.  Hero input information is constrained to 34 different items/categories/data fields. Some of these are constrained by the number of words/characters allowed.
For example, the "Hero Name" is limited to 50 characters.  Generally these computer "constraints" are not an obstacle from a practical perspective.  If these "constraints" do become a nuisance, we can generally reprogram and relax the restrictions.
