find a Hero.com acknowledges those who have demonstrated ways to live peacefully.  We also honor the legacy of those Peacemakers who have been forgotten.   We consider each of these special people to be a Hero and offer their life story as a Role Model.  

Mission. 

Our mission is to help identify Heroes, provide information about their lives, and illustrate how they confronted and managed daily conflicts in a nonviolent and constructive manner. 

Goals

  • identify Peacemakers around the world
    • our apologies for just being an English language web site at this point
    • our goal is to become more inclusive as resources permit
  • provide interesting stories about their lives that help us understand their culture, their childhood experiences, their values, their relationships with others, and how they approach everyday life in a constructive nonviolent way.
  • provide a brief capsule of each Hero's life, along with portals for additional information.
  • provide links to additional information about the Hero's birth country and country of residence for a better understanding of their culture and the issues/ conflicts surrounding their lives.
  • explore the use of a "Virtual Editor" system for extending and updating the information via the internet using volunteer effort.
